Obituary

Annie Havard Golden was born on July 13, 1951, and passed away peacefully at home with her family on June 6, 2026, at the age of 74.

She was born in Lucedale, Mississippi, to Virginia Havard Wiseman and Leon Havard. Annie lived a life defined by love, devotion to her family, and faith in the Lord. She was always caring for others, whether through a hot meal, a helping hand, or simply being there when someone needed her. She was loved dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Annie was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia; her father, Leon; her stepfather, Earl; her husband, Danny; her sisters, Geraldine and Joyce; and her brother, Greg.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris Jo Sample (Steve); her granddaughter, Makayla Owens (Mikey); her grandson, Steve Sample (Alissa); her great-grandchildren, Ava and Brantley; and her brothers, Troy Havard (Sabrah) and Elbret Havard (Gail).

Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial service at Highland Baptist Church, 14631 SE 30th St., Morriston, FL 32668, on June 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served following the service at 16255 NE 5th St., Williston, FL 32696.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Weems & Sons Funeral Homes.
