James Fredrick Ellis “Jimmy”

12-21-58 – 6-10-26

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmy Ellis, a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. Jimmy passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.

Jimmy shared 51 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, his wife, Pattie Bellamy Ellis. Together they built a family rooted in love, laughter, and lasting memories.

He leaves behind his son Buddy Ellis(Lindsay) and daughter, Alexis Stephens(Keith). Jimmy was a proud grandfather to Devin Ellis, Brody Ellis, James McElveen, Vera Mills, Ander Stephens and great grandson, Ryker Durrance.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Beverly George Ellis and Doris Mae Ellis, 6 siblings, and beloved granddaughter, Cheyenne Ellis.

Jimmy had a true passion for air boating and loved spending time fishing whenever he could. Whether on the water or surrounded by family, he enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and created memories that will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 27th, 2026, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the life of Jimmy Ellis. The time and location are to be announced.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

Jimmy was a great person and a kind and thoughtful business man. I enjoyed getting to know him and I enjoyed our chats. I’m so sorry about his passing, he will be missed by many. Sending prayers to his family.

Jimmy was a kind, friendly, and respectable neighbor. He was also a very good business man, honest and fair, in his dealings with customers. We always had time to talk about his family and mine. Fishing was a favorite subject even though we never fished together. I already miss our visits when he brough his yard crew by to help me out. And, I believe he appreciated bending my ear following his visits to Gainesville for his cancer treatment. Jimmy’s passing is a great lost to all who knew him. May our Lord bless his family in his absence.
