Kristie Dijak

Kristie Lynn Dijak, born on July 30, 1982, in Fort Lauderdale, passed away on June 15, 2026.

Kristie found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved gardening and took immense pride in preparing meals using ingredients she had grown herself. An excellent cook, she was especially known for her delicious chicken alfredo and homemade poppy seed rolls. Whatever work she undertook, Kristie approached it with enthusiasm, dedication, and a strong work ethic.

As a young girl, Kristie enjoyed playing soccer and remained a lifelong fan of the game. She loved listening to music and was rarely without her favorite Coke close at hand. Above all else, Kristie cherished her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her daughter, Sophia. The two shared many treasured walks together, searching for fossils among the rocks and creating memories that will be forever cherished.

Kristie is survived by her forever partner, Edward Valykeo; her beloved daughter, Sophia L. Schultz; her mother, Lori J. Schultz; her sisters, Stacie Harris and Mary Holland; her grandmother, Mary Butrim Wright; her aunt, Debra Wright; her uncle, Robert Wright; her nieces, Evie Merrill, Heather Schultz, and Michelle Pasuit; her nephews, Sean Dixon, Kevin Torres, and great nephew, Maverik Spinelli.

She was preceded in death by her father, John A. Schultz.

Kristie will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to family, her generous spirit, and the happiness she brought to those who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
