Charlotte Langston

Our beloved wife and mother, Charlotte Wanell Langston, went home to be with Jesus on March 17, 2026. She was born on July 5, 1941, in Chiefland, Florida, to Bill and Malissia Colson. Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother, “Granny,” “Ginnie,” sister, aunt, and great-aunt who deeply loved her family. She was strong in her faith and never missed an opportunity to share her love for Jesus with those around her.

Charlotte was born into a family of nine children. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Randolph Martin; her parents; four brothers, Earl, Carl, Glen, and Wendell; and two sisters, Bonnie Conley and Cheryl Colson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, W.D. Langston; her daughters, Trish (Myron) White and Robin (Timmy) Williams; and Bill (Lynn) and Mary Langston. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Myron White, Erin (Will) Steichen, Rick (Hannah Peele) Ridenour, Ryan (Ashley) Ridenour, River (Jayda) Langston Lundy, Chris Langston, Chelsea Langston, and Stephanie Langston.

Charlotte is further survived by her sisters, Sandra DeWees and Mary Bowen, as well as her favorite niecey pooh, Tonya (John & Jessica) Townsend. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Lillie Ridenour, Myles Steichen, Lily White, Oliver Ridenour, Elaine Steichen, Rylan Langston Lundy, Jessie, Kendall, and Kinsley Langston, great-great grandson, Cooper Langston, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and members of her church family.

Charlotte was a faithful employee at Winn-Dixie for 13 years and later worked approximately eight years at Mary's Lil “T.” She was a woman of many talents, including gardening, sewing, and ironing, and she faithfully served as a self-taught pianist at her church for over 40 years. She especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored.

Charlotte is now walking the streets of gold with Jesus. Her passing was unexpected and has left her family and friends heartbroken. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held at 1:00pm and graveside service will be begin at 1:30 PM on Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Cherry Sink Cemetery in Trenton. Brother Jeremy Crawford will officiate.
