Obituary
Monroe Crews, age 74 of Bronson, FL passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Haven Hospice. Born in Ocala, FL on January 19, 1951, to James (Sonny), and Pauline Crews.
Affectionally known as “Munk”, he is survived by his beloved brother James (Paul) Crews, many nieces, nephews, grand and great, and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Monroe served in the Airforce as a 1st Lieutenant, held a master's degree and worked at the University of Florida, most recently with the Sea Grant Program at IFAS. He loved his work and those he worked with. Monroe enjoyed quilting and knitting, fishing, travelling, and living life to the fullest!
His gentleness, laughter, love, playfulness, and spirit of adventure will echo in our lives forever.
In honor of Monroe, a celebration of life will be held at a future date by his family.
