Ray Conela Adcock, 75, passed away on June 26, 2026, in Chiefland, Florida.

Born on November 16, 1950, in Decatur, Georgia, Ray lived in Dunedin, Florida, and Chiefland, Florida. He worked as a boiler technician for Zampell Refractories and dedicated many years to his trade.

Ray had a lifelong passion for writing poetry, and several of his works were featured in Reader's Digest. He also enjoyed spending time fishing with his brother, Jackie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Gladys Adcock; his sister, Kathy Adcock; and his brothers, Junior, Jerry, and Jimmy Adcock.

He is survived by his children, April and Amos, and their children; his brother, Jackie Adcock; and his sisters, Mildred, Jeannette, Patricia, and Judy.

The family appreciates the thoughts and prayers of all who knew Ray during this time of remembrance.
