Paul Knox

Paul Alan Knox, 71 of Morriston, Florida passed away on June 26, 2026. Paul was born on January 29, 1955 and grew up in Tampa, Florida.

Paul always had a smile on his face and a laugh in his heart. He was gentle and kind, loved animals, his family and especially his late mother, Hilda Hodge Knox. As an adult, Paul worked as a lineman for the telephone company (General Telephone) and traveled the country for new installations and reparations before suffering a serious accident in 1989. Following the accident and extended recovery, Paul spent time with his uncle Royce Hodge and late aunt, Martha Hodge in Park City, Utah and began a life of sobriety that he maintained proudly until his death.

Once moving to Morriston, Florida, Paul enjoyed life being close to his family in Chiefland and Williston while working with cousins, Eddie Hodge, William “Billy” Hodge and James “PeeWee” Kelly at Williston Timber.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Jaime Knox, sister, Cynthia Sirmans, nephew, Dylan Sirmans and great-nephew, Asher Sirmans, and numerous other family members and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his loving mother, Hilda Pearl Hodge Knox and Father Jerry Knox.

Paul will be laid to rest on Monday, July 13, 2026 in Romeo, Florida at the Hickory Springs Cemetery with graveside services at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the charity of your choice in memory of Paul.
