Clifford Irwin Franklyn
The throttle is closed, the kickstand is down, and the rider is finally at rest. Clifford Irwin Franklyn, lovingly known by most as “Shorty,” of Chiefland, Florida, took his final ride passing away peacefully on July 8, 2026, at the age of 68. He was born on July 29, 1957.
Shorty was a faithful Husband, proud Father and a loving big Brother. He was an entrepreneur and Business Owner who took pride in his work. He had a passion for fast bikes, boats, music and photography. He found happiness in capturing moments, making memories, and enjoying life to the fullest. His personality, stories, laughter, and unique spirit will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, June Huckaba of California and Arthur Franklyn of Florida, and his sister, Nancy Huckaba of California.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Janell Gomes of Florida, his children: Denise Cagley-Jefferson of Jamaica/Georgia; Derrick (Joanne) Sparks-Franklyn of Florida; Rhiannon (Dusty) Harrell of Kentucky; Michael Franklyn of Florida and sister Alma(Jerry) Bybee of California along with his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
