Mary Bolton

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Mary Elizabeth Burns Bolton on August 3, 2026, in Palm Beach County, Florida, just two days before her 94th birthday.

Mary was born on August 5, 1932, in Lake Worth, Florida, to Harold Peter Burns and Agnes Frankie Smith Burns Railton. Her beloved mother was a deeply cherished presence throughout her life. Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Richard James Burns, and her sister, Joyce Railton McKenna Uzcategui.

She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, George Comstock Bolton. Mary leaves behind her loving family: her daughters, Glenda Jolene Bolton-Wiltsie and Melissa Diane Bolton Calabrese; her son-in-law, Raymond Joseph Calabrese; her grandsons, Patrick Bolton Calabrese and Michael Raymond Calabrese; and her granddaughters, Jade Elizabeth Wiltsie and Emma Jean Wiltsie.

Mary lived in Lake Worth, Florida until the age of 12. After spending a year in Delaware, her family settled in Hialeah, Florida where she attended Hialeah Junior High School and met George. Their love story began at the Rustic Roller Rink when they were just 15 years old. On January 1, 1950, they were married, beginning a remarkable journey together that would span 75 years.

Together, Mary and George built a beautiful life centered on love, devotion, and family. Their enduring marriage was a testament to the deep bond they shared and the life they created together.

Mary was the best mother and wife anyone could ever ask for—strong, determined, loving, and unwavering in her devotion to those she loved. She stood faithfully by George’s side through every season of life and played an important role in helping run their business, Biscayne Engineering Company. Her family could always depend on her strength, loyalty, and grace.

Mary also knew how to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. She loved antiquing, searching for treasures and enjoying the stories behind them. She especially cherished playing Shanghai Rummy with her grandchildren, where laughter and a little friendly competition created many treasured memories. She also loved going out to dinner with family and friends, especially when there was some good “Italian” food involved. These simple joys became part of the memories her family will carry with them and cherish for years to come.

Mary and George shared a special love of dancing, and that joy remained a part of their lives together throughout the years. It brings comfort to imagine that they are now reunited and able to dance together once again.

Mary will be remembered for her deep love for her family, her quiet strength, her steadfast partnership, and the beautiful life she shared with George. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held at Weems & Sons Funeral Home, 512 East Noble Avenue, Williston, Florida 32696 on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 12:00PM with a visitation held one hour prior. A committal service will follow at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston. Please join the family for a luncheon after the committal service at Sister's Place Restaurant, 143 East Noble Avenue, Williston, Florida 32696.
