Obituary
Melba Hartley Winemiller, age 88, of Williston, FL passed away peacefully at her daughter and son-in-law's home under the care of Hospice.
Born on December 7th, 1936 to Barney & Sylvia Hartley, she lived in Williston the majority of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, brother Dan Hartley, & nephew Joel Hartley.
Melba is survived by her loving daughter & son-in-law Janet & Charlie Smith; her cherished grandchildren Bradley Smith and Daniel (Bethany) Smith; and her adored great-grandchildren, Addison, Wyatt, & Reagan Smith. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Peggy Hartley, and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Affectionately known to all as “Mimi” and “the sweetest woman ever,” she was deeply loved by everyone who knew her. She embodied love and kindness. A member of Williston Church of God, her faith and love of the Lord guided her life and was evident through the way she lived it.
A memorial service will be on held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 27, 2025 at the Williston Church of God. The family will receive friends for a visitation at 10:30 am. Brother Wes Smith and Keith Langford will be officiating the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Haven Hospice in Melba's memory, in gratitude for their loving care and support.
