In Loving Memory of Susan Phillips Prince

Susan Phillips Prince, age 69, passed away on August 20, 2026, in Gainesville, Florida. Born on July 8, 1957, Susan was raised in Williston, Florida, a place that remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Susan was a graduate of Williston High School and spent 25 years in health information management, with much of that time dedicated to Williston Memorial Hospital.

Susan shared 45 years of marriage with her soulmate, Gene Prince. Together, they built a life rooted in love, devotion, and family. Her greatest joy was the family she cherished so deeply.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gene; her children, Chase Prince and his wife, Alyssa, and Amanda Prince and her wife, Britanee; and her four beloved grandchildren, Brooklyn, Easton, Beckett, and Merritt.

Services honoring Susan’s life will be held at First Baptist Church of Williston, Florida, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you complete an act of kindness in Susan’s name, or, if you choose to make a donation, that it be made to Missions at North Central Baptist Church in Gainesville, Florida.

A lifelong Christian, Susan lived out her faith through her kindness, compassion, and care for everyone she met. She had a special gift for encouraging others and was a dedicated friend whose kindness and loyalty touched many lives.

Susan also loved to laugh and brought joy to those around her, and her curiosity often showed through her amateur detective work and interest in uncovering the details of a good story.

Susan will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the family she held dear, and the lasting memories she leaves with all who knew and loved her.
