Paul Lundy

Paul Lundy, 66, of Chiefland, Florida, passed away on August 30th.

Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He was married to the love of his life, Janelle Lundy, and together they built a family filled with love, faith, laughter, and countless memories.

Paul’s greatest love was his relationship with God. He was a faithful member and Elder of Release City Church, where he served and loved others with a genuine heart. His faith was an important part of who he was, and he sought to live his life honoring God and caring for those around him.

Paul was a proud American who loved his country and his Florida Gators.  He rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his team. He enjoyed shooting guns, spending time with family, and simply being surrounded by the people he loved.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Janelle; his children, Crystal and Justin Tillery, and Shawn and Carrie Lundy; also his extended sons, daughters, and grandchildren, Bradley and Amy Webber, Adam and Sarah Hiers (Jenna, Jaycee, and Brycen); Cole and Kim Booth (Mason and Kinsey).

Paul is also survived by his mother, Wanda Coats; his sister and brother-in-law, Sonjia and Mark Corum; along with many other family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were touched by his presence.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Lundy, Sr.

Paul will be remembered for his love of God, devotion to his family, love of country, loyalty to those he loved, his passion for the Florida Gators, and the memories he created with the people closest to him. His family and friends will deeply miss his presence, but the love he gave and the legacy he leaves behind will live on in them.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 13th at Release City Church. The family will receive visitors at 3pm, with service beginning at 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, the Lundy family has asked for those wishing to honor Paul’s memory to consider making a financial gift to the Release City Building Fund.
