Bryan Hoopaugh

Bryan Lee Hoopaugh, 55, of Williston, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, Florida.

Bryan was a longtime Williston resident who made his life there surrounded by the people and things he loved most. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend whose presence brought love, laughter, creativity, and countless memories to the lives of those around him.

Bryan had a creative spirit and a wonderful imagination. He expressed himself through music, writing, drawing, and painting, always finding ways to turn the things he imagined into something others could enjoy. One of his proudest accomplishments was writing a children’s book, which he lovingly dedicated to his three grandchildren.

He was also a passionate and loyal Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed playing golf and fishing. But as much as he loved his hobbies and creative pursuits, nothing compared to the love he had for his family.

Bryan was a loving husband to Janet, his wife of 35 years. Together they shared a lifetime of memories, challenges, laughter, and love. He was also a proud father to Stephen and Erin and, perhaps most of all, cherished his role as a grandfather. His grandchildren, Penelope, Violet, and Parker, held a very special place in his heart. He treasured every moment with them and loved watching them grow.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Hoopaugh, Sharon Hoopaugh, and Earl Holley, and his brothers, Robert Hoopaugh and Wayne Hoopaugh.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Janet Hoopaugh; his son, Stephen Hoopaugh; his daughter, Erin Woolley (Zach); and his beloved grandchildren, Penelope, Violet, and Parker. He is also survived by his sisters, Jeannine Holley (James), Christy Yarborough (Will), Victoria Hazel (Justin), and Misti Hoopaugh; his brothers, Clark Holley (Tayte) and Richard Holley (Robin); his sister-in-law, Laurie Hoopaugh; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends who loved him dearly.

Bryan’s life was not defined by the illness that took him from us, but by the love he gave, the people he cherished, and the memories he left behind. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his giving spirit, and most importantly, his unwavering love for his family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Weems & Sons Funeral Homes, Williston, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice in Bryan’s memory.

A Celebration of Bryan’s Life will be planned for a later time.
