Keith Allen Colson

Keith Allen Colson of Gainesville, Florida, passed away peacefully with his daughter Kelly and sister Donna by his side on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Oak Haven Medical Center in Centerpoint, Louisiana. He was 64 years old.

Keith was a man who loved his two daughters deeply and held his family close to his heart. Though life was not always perfect, and there were times when he could not be there in the ways we may have wished, the love he had for his children and family was always there. He found joy in the simple things in life, especially music and spending time outdoors. He will be remembered for the moments that made him uniquely him, and his love will continue to live on in the hearts of his children and all those who knew him.

Keith is survived by his two daughters, Nicole (Ryan) Jones and Kelly (Bill) Phillips; his grandchildren, Zachary (Emily) Jones, Makayla Brown, Trevor (Kyra) Garcia, Elania (Lane) Anderson, Nicholas (his Tater Head) and his two beloved great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Deborah (Tommy) McComic; brother, Carl (Amanda) Colson; sister, Donna Paul; brother Dwayne Colson and sister Tonya Townsend (John) along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Krewett, and his father, Carl W. Colson, along with many other family members.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 2:00 PM.  The service will be held at the Haven Hospice Community Center at 311 Northeast 9th ST, Chiefland, FL.
