Clyma Glyn Chouteau a beacon of love and adventure, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at the age of 88, in Lake City, Florida.
Born on October 10, 1936, in Chiefland, Florida, Clyma's journey began as the cherished daughter of Preston Tanner and Sally Shipp, both of whom preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are her two children Vicki L. Highsmith and William G. Langford.
Clyma is survived by her two sons and one daughter, Daniel E. Langford, Samuel Dean Langford and Tami Harris. Her legacy of love continues to thrive through her 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, who were the joy of her later years.
Her passion for bowling was matched only by her love for travel. She traversed the globe, exploring the wonders of Europe, the majestic landscapes of Switzerland, and the rich cultures of Saudi Arabia. These experiences not only broadened her horizons but also enriched the lives of those around her as she shared her stories and insights.
Clyma's story is not one of an end but a beautiful reminder that life is an adventure to be embraced with love and kindness at every turn.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at the Newberry Cemetery. Pastor Andy Cook will officiate the service.
