Obituary
Thomas “James” Swilley born October 13, 1944 of Chiefland, Florida passed away Friday afternoon, April 18th, 2025 at his residence surrounded by loved ones.
James is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Debbie; two daughters, Aimee (Marcus) Mitchell, and Katie Prevatt; three grandsons, Waylon Mitchell, Eli Prevatt, and Beau Prevatt; one brother Sam (Nancy) Swilley; and three sisters, Sammye Hart, Jean Drake, and Patricia Malmind.
A true son of the soil, James had a love for the earth and passion for growing crops and raising livestock. Beyond the farm, he was known for willingness to help others, a strong member of the community and was passionate about his family and faith.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, April 22 at 11:00 in the morning at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Trenton, Florida. There will be a visitation and meal following the service at the fellowship hall. All family and friends are invited to stay and attend.
