Obituary
It is with incredibly profound sadness that the family of Clinton O. Blankenship Sr. announces the passing of their beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, father-in-law and friend.
Clint was born in Helena, GA, on June 10th, 1939 to William Ray Blankenship and Nita Clark Blankenship. He was a graduate of Hawthorne High School and was the Homecoming King and Quarterback for the Hawthorne Hornets Class of 1958. Clint worked at Clay Electric Cooperative as a Lineman before opening his own electrical company in 1972, Blankenship Electric, in Gainesville, Florida. Clint was an avid sportsman and hunted hogs, turkey & deer. He enjoyed the outdoors and had a love for animals, especially dogs. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and was a dedicated Florida Gators fan.
He is preceded in death by his father William Ray Blankenship; mother Nita Clark Harrelson; brother William Clyde Blankenship and sister Juanita Idel Knauff.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Ross Blankenship, whom he married on June 30, 2000. Sandy was the love of his life and he often said she was an angel to him. He is also survived by his brother Danny Blankenship; sister Sarah Grace Vickery, children: Kay Blankenship Edwards and Clinton O. Blankenship, Jr.; grandchildren Lauren Feagin, Hunter Edwards, Isabella Blankenship and Brendon Blankenship; mother-in-law, Katherine Ross; brother-in-law Johnny Ross, his wife Cindy and their children, Olivia and Ellie.
Clint professed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and is now in Heaven rejoicing with his family members and friends that have gone on before him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston, Florida on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Norman Edwards will officiate.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home Williston.
