We were blessed to call him family! His smiles were the first thing everyone saw and his heart was the biggest of anyone we have ever met. His most long wish has been granted and while he didnt want to leave usJesus has him now.

When I retired three years ago and moved to Chiefland, Stan and Cheri, who lived two houses away, were the first new friends I made. I found myself joining their church congregation and becoming a part of their family. Stan's unswerving commitment to, and love of the Lord was a constant inspiration for me. Stan, with his quiet and gentle demeanor, led by example. His absence leaves a hole that can never be filled. He is and will continue to be sorely missed. I take comfort in the confident knowledge that he is at peace in the presence of God and pray that one day I will be by his side again.

Dad, as I take many hours to write this, I find myself overwhelmed with a profound sorrow that is difficult to put into words. You were so much more than just my father; you are my hero. Not perfect, but always moving forward. Please remember the not perfect part as you look down on your truck after I washed it. Kind of hard to do a good job when my vision is blurred with tears. Your deep-rooted faith in God and the immense love you shared with everyone around you has left an everlasting impression on my heart and the hearts of countless others.I will always treasure the moments we sharedthose not so long but very meaningful conversations about life and faith, your gentle wisdom that shaped my understanding of the world, and the invaluable lessons you imparted about love, compassion, and perseverance. The night in Cape Coral when you and I went to pick up Greek takeout, and you spilled your heart out to me will never be forgotten. Your actions taught me how to navigate the challenges life throws my way with grace and dignity, and you instilled in me a profound trust in Gods divine plan, even as my path seems to disappear and all Im doing is bushwhacking to nowhere. While my heart aches in your absence, I find comfort in the thought that you are now at peace, embraced by the love of our Lord. Your spirit continues to guide me, and I am committed to honoring your legacy by striving to live my life in a manner that reflects the love, kindness, and unwavering faith you so beautifully exemplified.Thank you for being the remarkable father you were and for the countless ways you enriched my life. Like at the Krispy Kreme in Georgia, when you decided to put on one of their hats and be become an employee! I miss you more than words can express, and I will carry your memory in my heart forever. I love you, dad.Ps-I know it was tough on you, but thanks for hanging on as long as you did. The daily trips to the hospital gave me, Karen, and Mom a chance to grow together. We laughed, cried and even got lost a couple of times. You and me have definitely been blessed with our wives. Mom and Karen - thank you, youre the best and I couldnt ask for more.
