Donna Phillips

so sorry to hear about Donna. She was a wonderful camping friend to me and to all of the Casita travel trailer community who knew/camped with her. I am so grateful I knew her and got to travel to several fun locations across the country with her as well as visit her at her home in Williston. I'll always remember her sweet disposition and adventurous spirit.

Danny and I are so sorry to hear of Donnas passing but also rejoicing in knowing she is with her Savior Jesus. She was such an encourager and readily shared her faith with friends.I first met Donna many years ago at a FG camper rally in Cherokee, NC where she was participating in a Dutch oven cooking demonstration. One of her daughters was there and you were both so kind & willing to share your knowledge. As years passed, we again met up at numerous rallys and Donna always took time to come and sit with us and share updates of her family and travels. A few years back at a rally in Alabama, we realized we had both purchased Ford Flex vechicles so another thing we had in common. Recently I contacted Donna to let her know again how much her friendship meant to me because she helped me when I really needed it. My husband had a stroke in the fall of 2023 and it took a year of rehab to recover to the point of driving again. I knew that if our love of camping was going to continue, I would need to start towing our camper. Donna was always a mentor as well as friend to me and always encouraged me when I expressed the desire to learn to tow. On my first trip last fall, I literally was saying her name and the encouraging statements she always said to keep me calm as I embraced my new challenge. I shared this story with her and how much she meant to me as a mentor, friend and a woman of deep faith. I picture her now with a smile of joy on her face and a new perfect unbroken body - embracing her heavenly family. I am so thankful to have known her. I have met some of you and we will be praying for all of Donnas family. - Tammy Godbey

I met Donna in 2018 at my first Casita Rally and we became instant friends. She was so nice and helpful to a newbie who had never had a camper before. We did many rallies together and many times meeting up to camp together. Some of my favorite times is when I would stay in her front yard on my way to rallies. November 2024 I stayed in her yard and Karen came in and Donna had cooked a wonderful meal for us. It was delicious. Her peach cobbler in the cast iron dutch over was to die for. She was loving and kind but most of all she was a Christian and her heart was filled with love for our Savior. I know as she passed the Lord was right there welcoming her into heaven. She will be missed by her family, friends and her camping friends. Love you Donna

There are no words to tell you how sorry. You Mama was such a special and caring woman. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Cherish all your amazing memories. She raised five wonderful children!
