Mary Hess

Mary June was born on Mothers Day May 9th of 1971at Rockdale County Hospital, Conyers GA she was born to Brenda Ingle and Kenneth Sponsler. Mary had 3 beautiful children, Krystal (deceased), Joey (deceased) and Mikey. She had lost her 1st two children in a fire and was able to save her youngest Mikey, who she protected with everything she had. Mary was able to put herself through Cosmetology & Beautician school, which became her final career even right up to her passing. Mary June has beaten cervical cancer twice and hid the 3rd one from the family because she felt she wouldnt be able to make it through the treatments (that was 3yrs ago) it took a car accident to bring it back as stage 4 bone cancer in the spine. In 2019 Mary June lost her younger brother Jackie to stage 4 lung cancer at the age of 42, I believe that is why she didnt want to go through treatments again. Mary June is survived by her mother, Brenda Ingle and father Kenneth Sponsler, stepmother Shirley, and brother Doug Sponsler, sister Sandy her husband of 23 years Jimmy Hess, her son Micheal (Mikey), stepdaughter Lailoni, stepson James (Jam) her two nephews Daniel Sponsler and Jacob Sponsler( she would text both nephews just to say "I Love You") and 8 beautiful grandchildren, and her 2 dogs Stella and CJ. Mary June, just like her younger brother, and children, was a soul taken too early. Mary loved her family very much and she would do anything and everything she could to protect them, no matter what. She was a hairdresser at Hair Masters in Fanning Springs and loved cutting hair right up to weeks before her passing. I never knew how many people Mary touched until I had a chance to meet a lot of her clients, like Miss Jody and Miss Annette, even her long-time friends Jeff and Cheryl. To only include Mary Junes immediate family is wrong, she was loved by too many to list, and my Sister will forever be in my heart and will be missed. God has taken a firecracker of a soul to be with her children, brother, grandmother, grandpop and uncle. She is gone but not forgotten. "Dear Lord, we entrust Mary June into Your loving arms. May Christ Jesus welcome her into the promise of heaven, where there is no more pain, only the love of God. Grant her eternal rest, O God, and let Your perpetual light shine upon her."
