Margaret Langworthy

Margaret Anne Langworthy, born Margaret Anne Lopeck, was born on November 16th, 1955 and passed away on January 21st, 2025. Margaret, also known fondly as "Anne", was born in Columbia, South Carolina to Mary Elizabeth Williamson and Robert William Lopeck. Anne grew up in New Jersey, which she always recalled as the "happiest childhood" before then moving to Miami, Florida with her mother, father, and two siblings, Robert "Bob" Anthony Lopeck and Deborah Jean Lopeck. Anne joined the US Air Force at 17 in order to see the world. Her career started in Homestead Air Reserve Base in Homestead, Florida, where she then gave birth to a son, Michael Robert Sizemore, in 1979. Anne and Michael then went on to live and travel all over Europe, being stationed at various Air Force bases. Anne lived life to the fullest while in the military and loved to tell the story of being a DJ at a disco in England in the 80s during her service there. She later got to witness history with the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989 while she was stationed in Sembach Air Force Base, and where she also welcomed the birth of her second child, Melissa Anne Morar (Sizemore), in 1989. After the birth of her daughter, the family moved back to Biloxi, Mississippi, where Anne retired at Keesler Air Force Base, after 22 years of service to the US military. She then moved to South Florida to be closer to her family, and resided there until she moved up to Dunnellon, Florida in 2004, to support her mother during her advanced years. This is where she met her current husband, Aaron Jackson Langworthy, to whom she remained happily married until her death. Anne always said that her lifes purpose was to be a mom, and that she was. While Anne only had two biological children, she was blessed to be called "mom" by a multitude of children throughout her life. Everyone who knew Anne considered her to be family, her love always overflowing and ever supporting to everyone around her. Anne dedicated her life to God and to her family and was a blessing to everyone she encountered. Her smile and bubbly personality will be forever missed. Anne is survived by her husband, Aaron Langworthy, children Michael Robert Sizemore, Melissa Anne Morar, and step-children, Darby Micheal Langworthy and his wife, Brittney Marie Langworthy. Anne was blessed with four grandchildren, Ayden Navin Morar, Maya Anne Morar, Avyaana Fazila Morar, and Bodhi Micheal Morar, and two siblings, older brother Robert Lopeck, and younger sister, Deborah Jean Winters. Notably, Anne was also blessed with three surviving sister-in-laws, Rachel Standridge, Lounette Fazio, and Windy Langworthy, and six brother-in-laws, Jason Langworthy, Eden Langworthy, Jonathan Langworthy, Jeremy Standridge, Chris Fazio, and Mark Strickland. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Isreal Langworthy and sister-in-law, Rhonda Strickland. A celebration to remember the woman who touched so many lives will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00pm at Westpoint Baptist Church, in Ocala, Florida. A burial will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with honors provided by the Sumter County Honor Guard and MacDill Air Force Base on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 11:30 AM.
