Jerry Harvey, Sr.

Jerry Lee Harvey, Sr., 78, walked into the arms of His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 4, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 10th at the First Baptist Church of Bronson. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Brother John Coker will officiate. Interment will follow at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston. Jerry was born on June 1, 1946 in Ashburn, Georgia to the late Soloman Andrew Harvey, Jr. and Ruth Parks Harvey. He attended Palatka Senior High School and graduated in 1966. Jerry had a career at the Metal Container Corporation of Gainesville, Florida where he retired after 26 years of perfect attendance. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Bronson for over 20 years. He is preceded in death by his parents Soloman Harvey, Jr. and Ruth Parks Harvey; daughter Tracey Harvey Bratten; son Jerry Lee Harvey, Jr.; and brothers Bobby Gene Harvey and Andrew Lamar Harvey. Jerry is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Ethel Theresia DeNoewer Harvey. Three sisters Ruth Hooper, Sally Ann Carver and Shirley Tharp; five brothers Jimmy Don Harvey, Sr., John Daniel Harvey, Joe Paul Harvey, Roy Malcom Harvey and Tony William Harvey; one step son Timothy Paul Scheid, five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. In lieu of flowers the family asks to please donate to the building fund of the First Baptist Church of Bronson, Florida. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home Williston.
