"It is with profound great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Charles Theodore Blumenberg, age 85. Charles passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024, at his place of residence in Chiefland, Florida. He was born on March 24, 1939, in Hackensack, New Jersey, the youngest of seven children born to Edward W. Blumenberg and Lillian M. Blumenberg. Charles married LaDonna S. Freeman on December 15,1961 in Miami, Florida. He retired from the Levy County School District after 27 years, where he worked diligently as Head Custodian at Chiefland Middle School. He is survived by his wife, LaDonna of 62 years, and his 5 children, Howell Tuten, Rita Blumenberg, Toney Tuten, Charles Blumenberg, Robert Blumenberg, 18 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. He is predeceased by two children, Bonnie Tuten and Roe Tuten. He will forever be in our hearts". The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 5-7pm at Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland.
