Obituary
Marcus Vinson Hall, a resident of Chiefland, Florida passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. He was 61 years old. Marcus was born on April 15, 1963 in Gainesville, Florida to parents Jeff & Kay Hall. Mr. Hall was the owner and operator of Southern Steps where he worked closely with his family. He was not only a businessman, but a mentor to those who worked for him. Marcus enjoyed riding in the woods, working in his yard and building & creating things. He was a member of the Canvas Church in Alachua. When not spending time outdoors, he enjoyed sharing time with his family & friends. Marcus is survived by his mother, Kay Hall, his loving wife, Kristine Hall, daughter Brittney Sheffield & husband Brad, his son, Marcus Chance Hall & wife Megan, his brother, Andrew Hall and sister, Tina Akins. He leaves behind his loving grandchildren, Noah, Paisley, Hudson, Connor and Ella. A celebration of life will be held on January 18, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at The Vineyard North in Chiefland, Florida. Knauff Funeral Home of Chiefland is honored to serve the Hall family. Ms. Kaye and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Marc was my first boyfriend in 6th grade and my first date also. Went to see the Absent Minded Professor and Herbie the Lovebug in sixth grade. We rode bikes all over Chiefland back then with Lisa Blake. My kids went to school with Brittany and Chance. I'm praying for your family that God will comfort your hearts. Ms Joanne, I've got you covered in prayer too.
