Obituary
Brent Alan Cooper, age 56, of Dunnellon, FL, passed away Friday November 29 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL due to complications from cancer. He was born June 5, 1968, in New Castle, IN, and was the son of the late Thomas and Carol Cooper. Brent lived a life full of friendship, love, and dedication to his family. Brent is survived by his wife, Alden, his brother and sister-in-law, Robbie and Laci Cooper, his sister Misti Glikes, his niece and nephew, Raelyn and Rhet Cooper, niece Kellie Weems, his two children, Brentlee and Aubree Cooper, and his beloved Basset Hound "Buddy." He will also be greatly missed by his longtime friends, Emmitt Bottoms and Timmy Hagen. Brent Cooper "Super Coop", graduated from Bronson High School in 1986, where he exceled at varsity sports and school leadership. Known for his humor, outgoing personality, and love of music and dancing, he was an exceptional man. After high school, Brent joined the Marine Corps and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Alameda, CA. He was so proud of being a Marine, it was a huge part of his life and who he was. Brents passion in life was circle track, stock car racing. He lived for the thrill of racing, but also enjoyed the hard work and dedication that goes into building and maintaining a winning race car. He made many friends in the racing world, and he will be tremendously missed. Brent was the owner of BAC Archery, an archery pro shop in Dunnellon, FL. He had so many loyal and devoted customers over the years. He loved his work, helping people with their archery needs, and teaching people how to shoot and handle their bow. He was outstanding in his archery knowledge and skills. There will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Brents Life will take place at a later date to be announced. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home.
