Richard Ray Gordon departed this life on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. He was 68 years old. Rick was born on February 4, 1956 in Santa Cruz, California to parents Shelby and Elga Gorgon. Rich was a gifted artist who enjoyed painting, but his passion was playing the guitar and singing; whether it be for an audience of one on the porch or one thousand while opening shows for Country Music legends alongside his brother Kerry as The Gordon Brothers Band. He is survived by his wife Lisa McIver-Gordon, brother Kerry Gordon, Uncle Jerry (Aunt Margie) Jackson, daughters Rhea (Richard) Ogelsby, Erin (Spencer) Zeigler, Hannah Gordon and Molly (Caleb) Gordon, step-children Bryon (Dana) Engdahl, Stacy (Joe) Mink, Amanda Engdahl, Victoria (Josh) Edgell, seven grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren, a multitude of cousins and thousands of friends and fans. A Celebration of Ricks Life is planned for Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 4:30 to 8:30 pm at Low-Key Hideaway Tiki Bar. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home Chiefland.
