Obituary

Patricia Ann "Pat" Metrie, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday October 8, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born on August 29th, 1937, in Henry County Tennessee and spent her final years in Williston, Florida. Pat resided most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida where she graduated from Andrew Jackson High school in 1955. She worked for Amtrak railroad for 30 years as an administrative assistant until she retired in 2006. Pat was known for her green thumb and her delicious cooking by many. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her friends and family over the years. During her time spent in Williston, she became active in the community volunteering. Pat was proceeded in death by her companion Jack Millis; niece, Virginia Bell; sister, Bobby Jean; and parents, Bill and Orilla Coppedge. Closest surviving relatives are her cousin, Freddie Bell; niece Arlene Bell; Jack Millis children David Millis (Dee), Teresa Hendrix, and Deborah Stichberry, with more extended family in Florida, Kentucky and Texas. Services will be held on Saturday October 12, 2024, at 10:00am graveside at Orange Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home of Williston.
