Obituary
Bernard "Bernie" Joseph Kearney left this life to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 26th at 76 years old. He was born on August 15, 1948, in Monaghan Ireland to his parents Patrick and Mary Kearney. Bernard was a veteran who served in the Vietnam War. After returning home he started a career with UPS where he worked until retirement. When he retired, he moved to Florida and as a skilled carpenter was able to single handedly build his dream home. If there is one thing that could sum up Bernards beautiful life it would be his dedication to the Lord. He was a born-again Christian who spent the majority of his life serving the Lord and making sure to share the Gospel with everyone. Bernard was survived by his 2 children Kelly Kearney (Robert Birchall) and Keith Kearney; 4 grandchildren, Hailey Birchall, Declan Kearney, Brianna Birchall, Kalysta Kearney; 4 siblings Margaret Cafarella (John Cafarella), Ann Kearney, Thomas Kearney (Debbie Kearney) and Barbara Alexander (Richard Alexander) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by his parents Patrick and Mary Kearney and sister Patricia Just. Knauff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Kearney family during their time of transition.

I personally knew Bernard. He was my neighbor. He introduced me to the church; that he helped build personally; that I am going to now. I would like to know the arrangements. May God bless, comfort, and console his family and loved ones. In Jesus name, amen. as a sidenote, I would like to say, I remember when he had his peach Grove.

I know him as Brian. I met him when we were young. I thank him for our beautiful children.I am so grateful for his relationship with our Lord. He has shared the gospel with many.He is walking the streets of gold! Hallelujah! May God bless and comfort his family and friends.Till we meet again.

Dad,I think I held off writing this because this is just one more step towards making this all too real.I definitely wasnt ready for this. Its so hard to picture a world without you in it but I am taking comfort knowing where you are. I am so honored to have had you as my dad. I will cherish all of our memories and when I think of you I will always remember your smile and your sense of humor that many didnt get but I absolutely adored.
