Maxine C. Beville passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 97 years old. She was born on March 2, 1927 in Raleigh, Florida to her parents Ralph and Lona McCraven. Maxine was of the Methodist Faith and a member of the First Methodist Church in Williston. She enjoyed watching television, especially football, and was an avid animal lover. She is survived by her daughter Jill B. Thrasher (Steve) and one grandchild Stephen Thrasher, Jr. A visitation for Maxine will be held at Knauff Funeral Home in Williston on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at the Orange Hill Cemetery on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Terri Meyers will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Haven Hospice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home Williston. Dear Jill and family,My thoughts and prayers are with you.Maxine and Mama, Etta McDonell Lowman, were first cousins who grew up together. When we lived in Williston and Raleigh when I was a child, we spent a great deal of time with Aunt Lona and Maxine who was a teenager then.We loved being around all the McCravens! There was always laughing and talking and great, fun times.We continued to see Maxine and B.B. after they moved to Tampa.Maxine was so humorous! A delight to be around!The last time I saw her was a few years ago at Billie Sue and Joie Johnson's. She kept us entertained with stories of growing up and of all our the relatives.Maxine will be missed.My prayers for your peace as you mourn your loss.
