Mary Carol Senterfitt RobertsDecember 23, 1946 - September 24, 2024 Carol Senterfitt Roberts, 77, of Williston, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024, after a courageous eight-year battle with cancer. Born on December 23, 1946, in Jacksonville, Florida, to James Henry Senterfitt and Margaret Hagan, Carol was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, known for her unwavering love for her family and community. A graduate of Williston High School, Carol went on to attend Central Florida College before beginning her distinguished 48-year career at Perkins State Bank. Starting as a teller, she rose to the position of Vice President, specializing in mortgage loans. Her dedication, expertise, and kind heart made her a trusted presence at the bank and in the Williston community. Carol was married to the love of her life, Larry Roberts Sr., for 55 wonderful years. Together, they built a strong, loving family and raised two children, Dana Penney (Joe) and Larry Roberts Jr. Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren, John Strickland, Taylor Johnson (Jacob), Gage Knauff, Reyce Knauff, Kendall Roberts, John Roberts, Isabella Knauff, Riggins Roberts, Ansley Penney, and Huntley Penney, as well as her great-granddaughter, Auden Johnson. She was blessed with two sisters, Marilyn Roberts and Gwen Stalnaker (Cecil). She treasured every moment spent with her family. A member of the Williston Woman's Club and a talented singer in her younger years, Carol was also deeply involved in her faith, attending Williston Church of God with her beloved husband. In retirement, she enjoyed lunch dates with friends, gardening, and celebrating holidays with beautifully decorated surroundings. Carol is preceded in death by her parents and her grandson Gage Knauff. Her legacy of grace, kindness, faith and strength will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her. Though Carol is no longer with us, we take comfort in knowing she is now cancer-free and reunited with her Heavenly Father. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain with us forever. Services to celebrate Carols life will be held at Williston Church of God on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a service at 11 a.m. A procession to Orange Hill Cemetery will take place afterward, where Carol will be laid to rest. Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home in Williston. Growing up in Williston, Ms Carol was a fixture because it seems like we went to the bank a lot. She always had a smile. I am beyond sorry for her family's loss.
