Robert Oscar Florence, Jr., a resident of Archer, Florida passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024. He was 71 years old. Robert was born on March 16, 1953 in Santa Monica, California to parents Robert and Ruth Florence. He traveled to Florida from New Hampshire in 2011. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Florence was a hard working man with a great sense of humor, he loved his family dearly and enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Robert will miss him tremendously. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home Chiefland.

The first time I met Bob was when I was 15 years old in 1990. I was friends with his two oldest sons. I was intimated at first, but I as I got to know him I realized that he was a kind and hilarious man I grew to love him like a second father. I remember when I saw him for the first time after my incarceration, He said to me," It's like my 4th son is home. REST IN PEACE DAD!
