Mark Webster

Mark Wade Webster died on August 5, 2024. He was born on August 21, 1952, in Brooksville, Florida. He lived his childhood in Aripeka, and Tampa Florida, and moved to Cedar Key in 1978, where he spent the rest of his life. After serving in the Coast Guard, he was an ASE certified auto technician and completed an Associates Degree in Business Management. In Cedar Key, he worked as a net fisherman, oysterman, sawyer in the building of Cedar Cove, and his last job was clam nurseryman at Southern Cross Sea Farm. His work as a clam nurseryman has been documented by the University of Florida and televised many times. He was married to Judi Davidson Webster. He is predeceased by his parents, R.V. and Arno Webster and his wife Judi. He is survived by his stepson Justin Portas and sons, Adam and Noah Webster, 4 grandchildren, brother, Preston Wayne Webster, sisters Ginger Oliver and Phea Bainbridge, girlfriend Sally Cycler and many beloved kin and friends. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Shiloh Cemetery in Cedar Key starting at 12pm. The funeral procession to the cemetery will start at the Cedar Key High School parking lot at 11am. Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland.
