Robert Shipp

Robert Earl Shipp, Sr., resident of Bronson, Florida, was called to his Heavenly Home on Sunday, May 12, 2024 after a long battle with dementia. He was 73 years old. Robert was born on May 23, 1950 in Lebanon Station, Florida to parents P.J. Shipp and Edna Shipp Powell. Robert was a loving husband, father and Papa. He was a humble man, kind to everyone he met and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was a hardworking man and always made sure his family had everything they needed. He loved his kids and grandkids unconditionally. He enjoyed playing co-ed softball in his younger years, but his true passion was spending time with his family. Robert is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Juanita Bondy Shipp, his sons Robert Jr. and Justin Thomas, his daughters Tammy Shipp and Brittany Dyer (John), his grandchildren P.J. Shipp, Wayne Shipp, Tiffany Shipp, Dalton Koonce, Julie Shipp and Paige Dyer and 6 great grandchildren. He leaves behind his brother Danny Shipp (Donna) and sister Cathy Weems. A funeral service will be held at Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 5pm with a visitation held one hour prior. Brother Clevy Watkins will officiate. The family invites everyone for a time of fellowship and a meal immediately following the service at the Haven Hospice Community Center 311 NE 9th Street, Chiefland, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Haven Hospice in Chiefland at https://beyourhaven.org/ The family will be forever grateful to Haven Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Robert and his family.
