Obituary

Walter Glenn White, Jr., 65 years old, of Williston, Florida, passed away on April 18th, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. In his final months, Glenn was under the care of Vitas Hospice and Dr. Sebastian Vasquez, and the family will be forever grateful for the care that he received. Glenn was born November 16, 1958, in Hialeah, Florida to Walter and Carolyn White. Glenn was the second of eight children. At a young age Glenn moved with his family to LaBelle, Florida, where he attended and graduated high school. While in high school, Glenn was awarded the Green Thumb award in FFA and played football for the LaBelle Cowboys. In 1986, Glenn followed his family to Williston, Florida where he met his wife of over 20 years, Jewel (Beck). Glenn and Jewel raised their five children in Williston, and also had a hand in raising several others. Glenns home was always the neighborhood hangout where everyone was welcome. Glenn was an expert welder and spent much of his career as a welding supervisor on projects at nuclear power plants. He had a love for traveling, fishing, and mostly being with family. Glenn and his family spent many summers at the beach, the springs, or in the mountains. On every adventure, he always had a car full of friends and family. Just when Glenn thought he couldnt love any harder, along came grandkids. Glenn had twenty-one grandchildren and loved each of them fiercely. He was a cherished grandfather and regularly attended his grandchildrens various events. Glenn was known for his love of Jesus, family, and friends. Glenn was deeply loved and will be missed dearly by many. He is preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Henry (Bill Henry), father Walter White Sr. (Joyce White), brothers Jack White, Danny White, and Gordon White, as well as his Grandparents. Glenn is survived by his loving children Michelle Fortner (Grady) of Williston, Kristie Turner (Michael) of Williston, Dara Robinson (Scott) of Hernando, Andy Crockett (Natalie) of Hyde Park, Utah, and Amanda Davison (Kyle) of LaBelle, Florida; his sisters, Suzie Busenlehner (Steve) of Huntsville, Alabama, Sybil Hilton (Charles) of Williston, and Jennifer Fugate of Williston; his brother, James White (Pam) of Williston; his twenty-one grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family members. The viewing will be held at Knauff Funeral Home in Williston on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Rafter Cross Cowboy Church in Williston on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Billy Keith officiating. Glenn will be laid to rest at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston. Funeral Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home of Williston.
