Shirley Ribbeck

Shirley M. Ribbeck Who was born on February 11, 1931, the daughter to the late Edward and Irene Dilcher Miller of Bergen, NY. She left this earth on April 15, 2024, surrounded by many of her loved ones, at her residence of Ayers in Trenton, FL. On July 19, 1947 she married the love of her life, the late Lester Ribbeck of Oakfield, NY. They were married for 48 years. After her late husband retired from Chapins Mfg in Batavia, NY, they then retired to Chiefland, FL. Together they raised 2 children, Doug(Pearl) Ribbeck of Powell, TN and Cynthia(Mike) Sirmons of Cross City, FL. She is survived by her 2 children, her 4 grandchildren: Danielle Burnett(Neil) of Chiefland, FL; Brian Ribbeck of Corryton, TN; Joelle Harvey of Valdosta, GA; & Christina Ribbeck of Powell, TN; her 4 great granddaughters: Alexis Buchanan of Fanning Springs, FL; Kayleigh Ribbeck of Corryton, TN; and Piper & Lucah Harvey of Valdosta, GA; and her great-great granddaughter: Willow Buchanan of Fanning Springs, FL. She also had several step grandchildren. Mrs. Shirley was the sister to the late Karl(Lorraine) Dilcher, the late Joyce(Joe) Bartholomew, both from Oakfield, NY, and the late Arlene(Roy) Peck from Batavia, NY. She was also an aunt to several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ribbeck was a huge NASCAR fan, her favorite driver of all time being Jeff Gordon. She enjoyed the hobby of knitting, providing everyone she could with dish cloths. She thoroughly enjoyed her time spent with her great/great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Shirley was a legend in her family and will be greatly missed. Cremation was her wishes and will be handled by Knauff Funeral home. A graveside service will be held for the family/friends at a later date.
