Karen was a stay-at-home mom and a nursing assistant to Dr. Mark Storey for nearly 20 years in Titusville, Florida. Karen followed Gods calling in all facets of her life and shared her love of Christ every chance she got. She led countless bible studies, attended the Leesburg Womens Retreat for over 25 years and was a keynote speaker and chairperson of the retreat for a few years as well. The largest calling would be her time as a (Lay) Pastor at the United Methodist Church in Lake Butler, Florida. They were happily married for nearly 52 years and have three children. Chad (Nell) Sutherland of Crestview, Florida, Chrishna (Darin) Johnson of Gainesville, Florida and Andrew (Crystal) Sutherland of Gainesville, Florida. Outside of Gary and her children, the true light and pride of her life were her nine grandchildren Jordan, Aaron, Stephen, Garrett, Holden, Ryleigh, Caedon, Jackson and Hunter. Karen is also survived by four sisters, Susan Mills of North Vernon, Indiana, Patti Larson of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Lisa Jackson of Owensboro, Kentucky, Linda Mayhugh of Tarpon Springs, Florida and one brother, Kevin Mayhugh of Orleans, Indiana. She also loved being an aunt and great aunt and leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. To all those who knew and loved Karen I am truly sorry for your loss and will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. I did not know Karen, but I know her sister Linda. What I have heard here in those beautiful words about her life and from what I know of Linda, It is clear she was kind and loving to those who had the privilege of knowing her. I am grateful to have learned about her beautiful life and love of God through her family. Thank you for sharing a little bit of her us all of us. 💜

Uncle Gary I can't imagine how heart broken you, the kids, and grandkids are. You and Aunt Karen are some of lucky few people in life who soulmates. You guys were made for each other. Although all our hearts are breaking I believe if I could ask Aunt Karen she would say she had a wonderful life and she would not want us to be sad. She would want us to celebrate her life and that she's going to heaven. She will always be with all of you because you carry her in your heart. Love you uncle Gary.......give my Andy a hug for me. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers always.
