William Weeks

William Charles "Billy" Weeks went to his heavenly home on Friday, March 22, 2024. Billy was born on July 6, 1936, in Atlanta, Georgia to parents Walter and Dorothy Hinson Weeks. He graduated from Williston High School in 1954 and Clemson University with a degree in Animal Husbandry in 1958. Billy was a lifelong farmer in Levy and Marion Counties. He wed Barbara Priest in 1960, they were married for 62 years. Billy was a Godly man with a strong faith in the Lord, he was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Williston, he served as a Sunday School teacher, Deacon and as Chairman of Deacons on several occasions, a bus driver for the Church Bus Ministry, served on the benevolence committee and any other needs of the Church that he could assist with. He had a generous heart and wise counsel not only for his family but for anyone in need. Billy was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed. Billy was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Priest Weeks, brother Walter Hinson Weeks and daughter in law Donna Willis Weeks. He is survived by his son Walter Weeks, daughter Beth Weeks Webb (Keith), Toney Weeks (Kelly) and Catherine Weeks Davis (Tony). He had 4 grandchildren Sarah Weeks Oliveros (Eddy), Emma Weeks, Caleb Davis and Kailey Davis. Three Great Grandchildren Sebastian, Lucy and Penelope Oliveros. And, sister in law Era Weeks Smith. Our family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude and gratefulness to the many people who walked with us through this journey of caretaking for our parents. In particular, Dr. William Rios and his nurse Ashley, our faithful ladies: Hope, Ekeisha, Martha, Evelyn, Vanessa and the late Mrs. Betty. We are thankful for the Haven Hospice organization, we would not have been able to navigate the final days with our father without the support and guidance of the Haven Hospice Team. In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered in memory of Billy Weeks to the First Baptist Church Williston, Haven Hospice, or the Alzheimers Association. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church Williston. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am for a visitation. Brother Jason Owenby will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Orange Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home Williston.
