Obituary
Raymond Gregory Bigler, III, resident of Branford, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in Branford at the age of 75. Ray was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 30, 1948 to parents Raymond and Jean Bigler. Mr. Bigler enlisted in the United States Army on April 2, 1968 and served our Country during the Vietnam War as a Radio Operator. While defending our freedom in Vietnam, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Bronze Star Medal. He was honorably discharged on October 1, 1970. Ray was a Jack of all trades, he enjoyed carpentry work, golfing, fishing, going to museums and caring for his parrots. The most enjoyable thing in his life was spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Bigler is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Jean Bigler, and sister, Priscilla. He leaves behind his children, son, Canute Bigler and daughter, Amanda (Jack) Strahle, brothers, John, Eddiejo, Thomas Patrick, Robert Eugene and Delbert Michael, and sister Therese. Ray leaves behind his grandchildren, Trew Bigler, Morgan Bigler, Olivia Grinstead and Sophia Grinstead. A memorial service to honor Rays life will be held at a later date. Knauff Funeral Home of Chiefland is honored to serve the Bigler family.

We knew Raymond when he in John Pfeiffer's home.The best was when he rehabed an Eagle that was left to die by all the do-gooders. We lived op. the nest when he let it go, on Good Friday. that was the last time we spoke with Raymond
