Obituary
"Mya" Lynn Powers-Baney, age 69, of Archer, Fla., passed away Friday, February 16th, 2024, at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. Lynn was born in Carmel-By-The-Sea California to the late Edwin and Margaret Powers. Lynn lived throughout the United States before settling in Archer, FL where she remained until she passed. She was a proud member of the Lakota tribe. She worked for the Levy County Health department for many years. Lynn was affectionately known as "Jeeves" by her Wabasso, Fl family because of her giving nature especially when her uncle was terminally ill with cancer and Lynn took care of everything that was necessary in the household in order for her aunt to spend as much time as possible with her husband. She is survived by two sisters, Dawn Dull and Janet Buechner of Monterey CA.. Also surviving are seven nephews; three nieces; four grandnephews; and eight grandnieces; as well as partner Jeremiah Dennis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lee Baney. Services will be held at a later time determined by her loved ones. Gratitude, Humility, Love, Honor. Feeling all of these. Grateful for my life, my family, my friends, and the strangers that cross my path. I have running water, hot water, food, and my "children". Life is always presenting challenges. All have lessons. Its a full moon time to let go of things that no longer serve me. Goodbye Negative feelings or the presence of negativity has no place in my life. I let go of all the hurt. November 28th 2023 "Mya Lynn Powers Baney Our Friend Travels to Happy Hunting Grounds. Arrangements are under the direction of Knauff Funeral Home
