Obituary
Wynona Sue Sullivan (King), 73, of Williston, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, in hospice care in Ocala, Florida.
Wynona was born on August 31, 1952 in McAlester, OK. She was a longtime resident of Williston, where she built a life centered around family, faith, and community. She graduated from nursing school at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville and dedicated herself to caring for others both professionally and personally.
Wynona had a deep love for gardening and could often be found tending to her yard, a place that brought her peace and joy. She was a faithful member of the Williston Church of Christ and lived her life guided by her strong faith.
She was most proud of her children and cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. Wynona also gave back to her community by coaching little league in Williston for many years, where she made a lasting impact on countless children and families.
To so many, Wynona was more than just a mom—she was “everyone's mom.” Her children's friends remember her as the one who was always there, always willing to take them wherever they needed to go, and always making sure no one ever left hungry. She was known for feeding everyone who walked through her door, and her blackberries were a favorite that many will never forget.
Wynona is survived by her loving husband, David Sullivan; her children, Jamie King, Amy (Wagner) Leppin and husband Matt Leppin, and Callie (Sullivan) Branciforte and husband Zac Branciforte; her grandchildren, Blake King, Bryce King, Hunter Branciforte, Chase Branciforte, and Tucker Branciforte; her brother, Larry King and wife Cookie; her sister, Linda Munson and husband Tom; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe King and Betty June Burks, and her sister, Julie King Brown.
Wynona will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, both at home and throughout her community. She is now at peace, reunited with her parents and her sister Julie, and free from pain, surrounded by love.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Williston Church of Christ at 10:00am.
