Janice Ward

Janice Marie Ward, resident of Chiefland, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024. She was 84 years old. Janice was born to parents Robert and Nettie Boyd in Ellfers, Florida on January 5, 1940, and has been a resident of Chiefland, Florida for 50 years. Janice is of the Baptist faith and is a member of the Hardeetown Baptist Church. Some of the things she enjoyed were sewing, reading, and going to church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Janice is preceded in death by both of her parents Robert Boyd and Nettie Fussell, daughters Rose Au and Melody Ward, sons Buddy Ward, Johnny Ward, Bart Ward, and Ricky Ward. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Conway T. Ward, daughter Marilyn Elliott, sister Merelois Lewis and many many grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at the Chiefland Cemetery on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 12:00 pm with a visitation held 30 minutes prior. Brother Travis Hudson will officiate. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home Chiefland.
