Martha Markley, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023. She was 56 years old. Martha was born in Gainesville, Florida on January 3, 1967, to her father George Osteen and mother Syble Curry. Martha was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cruising and she loved Elvis Presley. Martha was an avid animal lover and especially admired horses. Martha enjoyed gambling at the slot machines and playing scratch-off tickets, but most importantly spending time with her grand babies. She is preceded in death by her two fathers George Osteen and Floyd Williams, and one brother Floyd Williams, Jr. Martha is survived by her mother Syble Williams; husband David Markley, two sons Skip Jones (Christina) and Mason Markley, daughters April Aldridge (Chris), Heather Davidson (Steven), and Shylee Markley, brother, Will Williams (Dolly), sister Azie Pickern (Kenneth, Jr.) and ten grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland, Florida on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will be held at the Bethel Cemetery in Trenton, Florida. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home Chiefland.
