Obituary
ROBERT CHALFANT STOOPS, 65, of Williston, FL died unexpectedly on December 19, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Edith Stoops, and brother "Roscoe". Originally from Doylestown, PA, he was born on July 24, 1958. The family relocated to Hialeah, FL in 1960. Robbie graduated HHS in 1976. He was on the swim team & played water polo. His elevator career started in 1981 until retiring in 2019. He was active in IUEC Local 71, where he served in many capacities. Robbie was also an instructor for NEIEP. Oh, by the way, Robbie "worked on the 55 Story" in Miami. Upon his retirement in 2019 he was the Business Manager for Local 71. He was active in the Hialeah Moose Lodge 1074 and the Friendship & SOBO rooms. Robbie remained busy, always helping anyone in need. He was kind-hearted, loyal, and a friend to many. He will be surely missed by those who knew and loved him. Robbie is survived by his son Robert Jr., daughter Michelle (Justin), and former wife Peggy; grandchildren Chyan, Kaden, Rylen, Reagan and Jaxson; siblings Ronnie ,Connie, and Beth; and his nephews and nieces. Ive known Robbie for a long time had him to my house playing poker with my family and friends. He set up poker tournaments at the moose lodge. He was always a good friend. And fellow brother rest in peace till we play poker again.
