Jeanette Flora

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Jeanette Flora went to be with the Lord on December 5th, 2023 surrounded by her family and in the presence of her beloved husband, Bob. Her son, Bret, was there to welcome her at the gates of Heaven, with Jesus by his side, ushering her into her eternal home. Jeanette is survived by her son, Guy; daughters-in-law, Cathy and Patty; grandchildren, Cori, Bowen, Colton, Austin, and Victoria; great-grandchildren, Tulsa and Touston; and daughter and son in laws, Travis, Chad, and Tara. Jeanette was a caring mother, devoted wife, an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and a loyal friend. Jeanette was born on August 1st, 1934 in Syracuse, New York. Years later, fate brought her and Bob together at a dance on an Army base, and their love story began. Their first date was a memorable one, with Jeanette picking Bob up in her '57 Chevy hot rod. Over the course of many years together, Bob nicknamed Jeanette "Sugar Britches." On June 24th, 1958, they exchanged vows and started their journey as husband and wife, blessed with two sons, Bret and Guy. Later in life, Jeanette spent a majority of her days on the family farm in Williston, FL. Whether it was savoring her morning coffee on the porch with Bob, admiring the beauty of the birds, tending to her garden and plants, or caring for her orchids, Jeanette embraced the tranquility that surrounded her. Above all things, Jeanette loved her family the most and cherished every moment she had with them. May we cherish the memory of Jeanette's compassionate nature, deep love for her family and friends, and warm-hearted demeanor. May she find eternal peace. As we mourn her loss, let us find solace in the promises of Isaiah 40:31, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." There will be a short memorial service for Jeanette on Sunday, December 10th at 12:30 at Williston Church of God. Her funeral will be on Monday, December 18th at 12:30 at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Rd 7, Lake Worth, FL. A gathering of family & friends will follow at Valiente Polo Farm, 12044 50th St S, Lake Worth. Jeanette supported St. Jude and Paralyzed Veterans if you feel moved to donate in her name.
