Laura Glucksman

Laura Ann Glucksman of Trenton, Florida passed away December 19, 2023. She is survived by her parents, Donald L. and Eileen Glucksman of Trenton, Florida, her brother Donald E. Glucksman (Ana) of Salem, Alabama, and her sister Lisa Hughes (Shawn) of Bell, Florida. She leaves behind one daughter who she loved with all her heart and soul, and many nieces and nephews who she treated as her own. Laura was born on August 2, 1968 in Bellflower, California and grew up near the beaches of Southern California. She loved soccer, water skiing, and laying by the pool. She attended Ontario High School where she served as the Majorette for the matching band, and ran track on the Varsity Team. As an adult, Laura traveled the country, but never lost touch with her many friends in California and made many more along the way. She worked many years as a veterinary technician, volunteered at many animal rescues, and was devoted to animals and animal welfare. She loved country music, karaoke, and above all else, her family. She spent the last several years living with and helping care for her parents, who are mourning her loss greatly. In April of 2021, Laura survived open heart surgery and the implantation of an artificial valve. She embraced her second chance at life. In addition to spending time with her family, dogs, and horses, she took up body building, and, at the time of her death, was planning on starting ballet lessons. She spent her life surprising her loved ones and her death was no different. It was sudden, unexpected, and in true Laura fashion. She will be greatly missed and will always be loved. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Lauras name be made to the American Heart Association or an animal welfare organization of the givers choosing.
