Carol Potter

Carol Ann Potter passed away on Sunday, November 26th, 2023. She was 75 years old. She was born in Cross City, Florida on January 13, 1948 to Richard and Morine Hilliard. Carol was a lifelong resident of Dixie County, where she raised two children with her husband Danny Potter. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to the beach and working in her yard, as well as attending church at Cross City Church of Christ. Anyone wanting a good meal knew that they could drop by her house anytime and that her door was always open. Carol is survived by her daughter Pam (Lucas) Barden, son Lancer (Terra) Potter, sister Barbara Downing, grandchildren Jordan Barden, Brianna Barden, Daniel Rhodes, Heather Acosta, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Morine Hilliard, siblings Lydia Hilliard and Richard Hilliard III, grandson Steven Rhodes, and former husband and lifelong friend Danny Potter. Carol will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Anyone wanting to honor her memory can join us at Cross City Church of Christ on Saturday, December 9th, 2023 at 12:00 pm, where a Celebration of Life will be held for both Carol and Danny. Brother Don Brooker will officiate. Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home Chiefland.
