Teresa Dyson

Teresa Sue Dyson, 70, died November 4, 2023, at her home in Cedar Key, FL. Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Dyson of Cedar Key, FL, two brothers, Randy James of TX and Clarence Allen of IL, and her three canine companions, Lyric, Sukie, and Sadie. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jodi Hoffman, and her parents, Sherman Ormal James and Marilyn June Giertz. Teresa was born on December 27, 1952, in Urbana, IL, and grew up in Urbana and Fischer. She was an avid learner and earned her Associate Degree as a Veterinarian Technician from Parkland College. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Reproductive Physiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Teresa and her husband, Steve, met in 1981 and married in 1983. They celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary just this year. Teresa will be remembered for her generous heart, personal style, and resonating laughter. She made friends wherever she went and will be missed by many. A memorial for Teresa will be held in the spring. Knauff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Dyson family.
