Ethelene Roberts

Mrs. Mirrian "Ethelene" Roberts, age 88, of Bronson, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Haven Hospice Care Center in Chiefland. Ethelene was born on March 31, 1935, in Habersham County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Purvie and Milda Parson. Mrs. Roberts was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed being outside and working on her flowers. Her yard is proof of all the love, hard work, and dedication that she put into keeping her flowers beautiful and there wasnt a flower that she didnt love. She would put on her gospel music and work the day away. Mrs. Roberts also loved taking care of people. She took care of her mother for many years and loved every minute of it. There are countless numbers of people throughout our community that Mrs. Roberts has helped, whether that be cooking meals for them or nursing them back to health, she consistently thought of others before herself. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Isabelle Oliver, Ruth Ward, and Louise Thompson; brothers, Hoyt Parson and Harold Parson; and son-in-law Richard Oliver. She is survived by the following family members, husband Herman Roberts; daughter Joann Oliver, son Tony Parker; sisters Margie Oliver, and Joyce Parker; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Knauff Funeral Home in Williston from 11:00 am12:00 pm with a visitation held an hour prior. Burial will be held at the Sacred Ground Cemetery in Bronson. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Matt Oliver, Wesley Parker, Wade Parker, Camden Nash, Wesley Parker, Jr., and Lonnie Terry.
