Charles Knauff

Charles Gage Knauff, resident of Williston, Florida, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023. Gage was 24 years old. He was born in Gainesville on May 20, 1999, to parents Joseph and Dana Knauff. Gage worked as the general manager at his familys business, Knauff Funeral Homes, LLC. located in Chiefland and Williston, where he cared for families throughout the tri-county area. Gage was most likely to be seen pulling his trailer, one that was loaded with a kayak and fishing poles, at his dog-pens, or on a four-wheeler, as he loved anything that kept him outdoors. Bass fishing was his passion, however, the most important thing to him was his family, who he loved so deeply. Gage was savvy and had the ability to turn anything that was lying around into something special. He always had a smile on his face and would offer the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He is preceded in death by his Papaw and Mamaw, Joseph Knauff, Sr. and Juanita Knauff. Along with his uncle, Charles Strickland. Gage is survived by his parents, Dana Knauff Penney (Joseph S. Penney) and Joseph F. Knauff, Jr. (Shannon Smith), his siblings, John R. Strickland, Reyce Knauff, Isabella H. Knauff, stepsiblings, Ansley R. Penney, and Huntley L. Penney. Grandparents, Larry and Carol Roberts, grandfather, Gordon Banning, uncle, Larry B. Roberts, Jr., his aunt Connie Harris (Glen Harris), and his best friend, Garrett Ming, as well as cousins, friends, and loved ones. A funeral service will be held at the Williston Church of God on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11:00 am, a visitation will be held one hour prior. Brother Wes Smith will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston, Florida. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Homes.
