Lorraine Ardith (Grant) Wickett peacefully met her Heavenly Father on September 20, 2023, in Gainesville, FL at the age of 82, after a long battle with Alzheimers. Lorraine was born on December 31, 1940, in Houlton, Maine to Harry James & Ida Katherine (Feeney) Grant. Lorraine is preceded in death by husband, Vaughn H. Wickett; granddaughter Alexa Marjorie Crosby of Springfield, MA; daughter, Ava (Wickett) Shina of Old Town, ME; brother, Roger Grant of Vero Beach, FL. Lorraine is survived by her children Daniel Crosby of Lincoln, ME; Joseph (Liliana) Crosby of Ocala, FL; Steven Crosby of Colorado; Rochelle (Richard) Livoni of Williston, FL; Gregg (Deborah) Wickett of Mattawaumkeag, ME. Siblings, James Grant of Manchester, CT; Ann (Robert) Henderson of Maxfield, ME. Grandchildren, Jessica Shina; Tayler (Julius) Jiminez; Heather (Matthew) Thibeault; Joshua Wickett; and Kylie (Nicholas) Bobbitt. Several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her children remember her as a kind, gentle, patient, loving mother who encouraged them to pursue their dreams. Lorraine was passionate about caring for others and worked for many years as a CNA doing homecare and private duty retirement. Lorraine was an active and devout member of the Williston Church of God. She often volunteered with Vaughn and the church to minister in song to the residents of the Williston Nursing Home every Sunday afternoon. The funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, September 26, 2023 @ 11:00 AM at the Williston Church of God, Williston, FL. Visiting hours will be at Williston Church of God @ 10:30 am. Pastor Wes Smith will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lorraines life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to EndAlz.org at endalz.org/memorials. The family would like to thank the amazing and caring staff at The Plaza Health & Rehab Facility for their loving care and compassion shown to our mother and family. I did not know Lorraine personally but I support her son Daniel Crosby. He has been trying to gather his thoughts before he signs in and shares them. He wanted me to relay that his Mom was the best mother and he misses her amazing hugs.I wish to share my condolences with the rest of the family and my prayers are with your family.

I didn't know Lorraine personally and only had met her when I was very little a couple times . My Poppy (Jim) has told me lots of stories and shared many memories of her. My heart goes out to her family and friends
